Cockroaches the passive transmitter of diseases has been around for millions of years. They breed in all kinds of conditions and can survive almost anything. Cockroaches tend to rest in the day in dark corners and come out in the night and feed on food scarps, oil deposits, sugar, book bindings etc . Cockroaches spread through drainage pipes, crates, gas cylinders etc. and in the process the pick up germs on their body which contaminate our food. Cockroaches are known to cause around 15 diseases and carry around 20 different disease causing micro organisms. The diseases include cholera, typhoid fever, diarrhea, dysentery, viral diseases etc. cockroaches can affect asthmatic patients and carry many parasitic worms.
